Kaylee Hottle, celebrated for her portrayal of Jia in the films “Godzilla vs. Kong” and “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” has tragically passed away at the age of 18. The young actress died following a car accident that occurred in Frederick, Maryland.
The Texas School for the Deaf, where Hottle was a student, confirmed her untimely death, offering heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and peers. The school noted the profound impact she had on those around her, both within the institution and in the wider community.
Local authorities reported that the fatal accident took place early Tuesday morning when a 1995 Honda Accord veered off the road and collided with a culvert. Investigators have indicated that excessive speed may have played a significant role in the accident. Hottle was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Following the incident, Hottle was transported to a nearby trauma center where she was pronounced dead. The 19-year-old driver of the vehicle sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, while another passenger in the car declined medical attention.
